About Beachport
Beachport is located 37kms north-west of Millicent on the Southern Ports highway (Alternate Highway One) and 80kms west of Penola. It is approximately half way by car, travelling from Adelaide (4 hours) and Melbourne (5 hours).
The main local industries are agriculture, viticulture, tourism, aquaculture, fishing, surfboard manufacturing and kelp fertiliser manufacturing. The main attractions include the Beachport Jetty (second longest in the state), The Old Wool and Grain Store National Trust Museum, St Nicholas Church, Bowman Scenic Drive, Pool of Siloam (Salt Lake), Lake George Conservation Park, The Lagoon, Town Sculptures, Surf Beach and the Woakwine Cutting.
