Date: Wednesday February 3rd to Thursday 25th February, 2010
Professional-artist led workshops with a ‘SeaFari’ flavour will be held in association with the Beachport Festival by the Sea. Workshops will start from February 3rd, leading up to the festival weekend which is on February 26-28.

Adult Workshops
The Adults Workshop program is as follows. Venues will be Beachport Cinema and Supper Room, The Foreshore, Recreation Centre and Beach Road (Private Address). Costs are between $8 - $20 per workshop.
SEAFARI TWILIGHT WALKS & TALKS
Discussions on the foreshore with Environmental Scientists, Dr Jim Gehling, Dr Mike Bosley & Steve Vine. This is an opportunity to gain artistic inspiration for further workshops, looking at environmental science creatively!
SCULPTURE CONCEPTING WORKSHOP
Sculpture development with visiting Renowned French Artist Dominique Paolini. Develop a 3D sculpture from a 2D Concept.

FOUND ART SCULPTURES
Creative found art sculptures designed from found materials with Jo-Jo Spook. Select works will be exhibited during the Beachport Festival Event.
MOSAIC SHOWER WALL
Concept, fabrication and placement of a feature mosaic shower wall on the Beachport Foreshore with artist Mike Tye.

SCULPTURE DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY CONSULTATION FREE!
Invitation to comment on the design of Dome Paolini’s SeaFari Sculpture for the Beachport Foreshore.
Performing Fish Lanterns – Children’s Workshops available
Local school children will have the opportunity to set the community alight helping Beachport artist Dave Messenger create fish and birds out of bamboo and greased paper. These lanterns will later illuminate the night sky on the Saturday evening in a performance element of the Festival involving participating children.

Schools Workshops
The Schools Workshop program is as follows. Venues will be Beachport Recreation Centre, Beachport Primary School, Kangaroo Inn Area School and Beachport foreshore with a cost of $6 per workshop.
SEASIDE WALKS & TALKS

3 Days: Wednesday 3rd - Friday 5th February. 1 ½ hour sessions, Suitable for Upper Primary - High School Students. Approximate total numbers: up to 15p per class
SCULPTURE CONCEPTING WORKSHOP
Sculpture development with visiting Renowned French Artist Dominique Paolini.
CERAMIC WALKWAY
Designing Ceramic tiles for Playground Pathway with Ceramicist Clementine Underdown. The Pathway will feature as a permanent display and will be launched at the Beachport Festival.

Creative found art mobiles designed from found materials with Jo-Jo Spook. Select works will be exhibited during the Beachport Festival Event.
PERFORMING FISH LANTERNS
SeaFari themed fish and bird lanterns made from bamboo and greased paper with local artist Dave Messenger. The Lanterns and their owners will become part of a key musical performance on Saturday Night at the Beachport Festival.
TIMBER ACRYLIC SEASCAPES
Design and acrylic decoration of timber discs in a SeaFari inspired theme, with local artist Narelle Probert. Select works will be exhibited during the Beachport Festival Event.
